I never could figure out how to host external css with blogger either. I'm enjoying wordpress, but you have to find a host. Typepad is a good middle ground too it seems.

If you host the CSS on another host, you can do it. But I don't know how to do it all on BlogSpot. I have an e-mail into Blogger on the subject right now.
