Changes are Coming
I have resigned as the minister of First Christian Church of Cairo. This blog will move because it is hosted by my ISP. To where, I don't know yet. I'd like to do my own domain, but it may have to live on blogspot for a while
This is what I requested prayer about a couple weeks ago.

Have a great journey. I'm looking for good and inexpensive hosts also. Blogger has been pretty good to me. I suggest GoDaddy.com for buying and dealing with domains.

Hey there Jack...
I will have some info on where to host your website shortly. Change is good. Maybe you could pator a church in the Pinellas Couty Area... Just a suggestion. :)
God bless you and your family.

JWM (allowing you to remain semi-anonymous)--
I am out of professional ministry for a while. Call it a sabbatical or whatever, we're returning to our old home church. The senior minister there (who was hired after we left for Cairo) has already e-mailed me and asked if I was coming back. He encouraged me to come back. He's been through this situation, and he wants to sit down and have lunch. He and I have a similar sense of humor, and I believe we will get along great. My wife and I are looking forward to "going back home."
As far as web hosting, I found eChristian WebHosting which looks to be a good deal.
Thanks for the blessings.
Rob--I'm a little leary of GoDaddy since their Super Bowl ad stunt. Thanks for the wishes for a great journey.

Jack...
I got back these comments from asking about web hosting details: if it is a basic site our hosting is $20 per month. Of course, we don't host pornographic, or sexually explicit media...also, if it is a forum type site proper usage and monitoring is required by them. They can always give us a call.
eChristian Web Hosting may be a better deal, but if you would like more info on the hosting lead, just let me know.
Sounds like a weight has been lifted. I think you are making the right choice about "going back home."

Jack -- Our prayers are with you! I know alot about the trials of ministry (as I am sure all ministers do) and will keep you in my prayers.
God is with you!
Shalom!

Thanks, Bill. We realize that "God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose." We'll be fine. Thank you for the prayer and the support.

RG, this was not the place to post your response. It should have been kept with the topic.

As Abraham and Sarah put their faith in God to allow Him to lead them from Ur to the Promised Land, not even knowing where they were being lead, may you take comfort in knowing that by putting your faith in the power of the Holy Spirit, you will be fine.

I sent this encouragement to my President when it seemed everyone from Mayors to Governors where testing him regarding Katrina. But parts of it may be inspirational to you as well, the parts about simply reaching down, picking up the worn out tools and patiently rebuilding again.
If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
