Blogger Pinging?
Technorati claims that Blogger automatically pings them, but my experience (which is not quantified, just a gut feeling with anecdotal evidence) is that manually pinging is better. In fact, I just experienced it on The Brothers Blog.
Why is this? Is Google (Blogger's parent company in case you were out of the loop with that reference) building a blog search engine to compete with Technorati? Why not give us the power to pick what to ping? Or why not let us ping Ping-O-Matic!?
Oops, my anecdotal evidence just got weaker. The "Notify Weblogs.com" was set to NO for The Brothers Blog. However, I recall reading somewhere that Blogger's Technorati ping passed through Weblogs.com somehow.
